Antique TEA POT 100 Year Old Silverplated Reed & Barton Teapot Art Deco

Rare, and unusual. Gorgeous Reed & Barton number 2940 6 Silver Plated Teapot with hinged lid. This would have been made before 1928 as it has no year mark (date symbol) on it. Reed & Barton began manufacturing in 1824 and did not begin stamping year marks until 1928. The number "6" indicates that this is a tea pot from the set; 2940 is the pattern number. Has ivory colored rings on handle. Lid fits into decoration on handle if you wish to hold it open. Enjoy using it, and looking at it on your table or shelf! In very good condition. With patina, could be polished if you prefer a shiny look. Very solid construction--weighs over 2 lbs! Measurement: 9 1/2 inch from handle to spout, about 7 inches tall, 4 3/4 inches in diameter base.
