Never worn Desigual Sparkly knit dress with sequins& shiny threads and its scarf

It was a real favorite when I saw it in the store 😍 The size is M EU which is S US according to their size guide. Very good condition (just a little thread pulled in the scarf). This little 3/4 sleeve dress is absolutely stunning. I never wore it because it was too small/tight for my style but I washed it. And the scarf has a little thread pulled. Did I buy it like this? Or did this happen while washing it in cold water and laying it flat? I always take great care of my clothes but the fabric is soft and very delicate. .
