cleopatra_vault Research the importance of Macedonia (was once a great strength of both Economic and Military power) among our massive impact & continuitive influence on world history (from horses, empires, dynasties to mastering conquest and perfecting the art of warfare). Macedonia is the oldest surviving name in Europe and is a ancient Biblical land. Compare old maps to modern ones + the slow destruction of my ancestral homeland.

Founded by King Phillip II of Macedon & later ruled by Romans). 2. Bitola: City of Consuls (was the diplomatic & cultural centre of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans for almost 9 decades! Around 100 consuls would perform their diplomatic missions until WWII. Was a cosmopolitan city for a long period).

Ilinden Uprising (after 5 centuries of Ottoman rule in Macedonia, a Macedonian Revolutionary Organization led a legendary national uprising in 1903, on the day of Saint Elijah - a major religious Orthodox holiday for Macedonians - who fought against the Ottoman Empire). Much has happened before, in between and after what has been stated here. Macedonia is rooted in rich ancient history, both great and very brutal times even what is going on there today. ☹️🇲🇰🥺😪
