PINK 'TWIST' HANDLED PLATE - DEPRESSION GLASS

This is a 'Twist' depression glass serving plate with two handles, in a delicate shade of pink. The Heisey Glass company which manufactured it preferred to call this color 'flamingo' - and had equally exotic names for the other colors in which the pattern was made. They produced the design from 1928 to 1935, but its elegant simplicity continues to make it very popular. The plate measures approximately 8 inches across including the handles, and is in good condition, without cracks, chips, clouding, or substantial wear. It's a pattern that fits in beautifully with modern table settings - and at our price it's a definite bargain! (The pale marks around the 'swirl' ribs in our photo are a result of lighting changes to increase the pattern visibilty. The glass is a pretty, solid, light pink colour.)
