Thierry Mugler Vintage Straight Leg High Rise Jeans

Beautiful pair of vintage jeans by my favourite designer, Thierry Mugler. These jeans are in excellent condition considering the fact that they are surely quite old. They have some excellent details synonymous with the late designer, such as the star symbol on the front button and the logo embroidered on one of the back pockets in a silver thread. I love how dark and vibrant the blue wash of this denim is, it’s hardly faded at all! Very sad to be saying goodbye to these jeans, but I haven’t reached for them in awhile as I find the legs to be cut too short for me. They are sized 42 and I’m assuming that it’s French sizing, however since they are vintage it’s not really accurate to modern day sizing. I would estimate them to be a US size 0 or XS. I’ve tried doing some digging into when these jeans were made, but I haven’t found anything conclusive. Although, I have found several collections from the late 1970’s to the early 1980’s that have some very similar looking garments. The last two pictures I’ve included are from his S/S 1979 RTW collection and featured some strikingly similar pieces.
