1950’s Hammered Aluminum Choker Necklace

Old piece. Lovely 1950’s Vintage Hammered Aluminum Choker Necklace. Dogwood Floral Pattern. 15” in length., so it’s a definite “choker” style. In good shape for its age and what it’s made of. Very lightweight due to it being aluminum. Very soft metal too. Due to pattern, you can’t see any buffs or scratches on front designed area. You can see some scratches on the back of each section, but it’s not showing when you wear the necklace. Tiny discolourations on the hook. Hardly noticeable. Does not distract. (See picture). Great link chain in between sections and at ends. To clean.. wash in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. To avoid scratching, when not worn keep jewellery flat and perhaps in a box. These jewellery pieces were made around the time they introduced hammered aluminum serving pieces for the home, starting in the 1930’s and 40’s, they continued into the 1950’s to 1960’s era. They are such a beautiful design, just as the serving pieces were. Hard to find and very pretty pieces. Vintage Posh!
