Authentic Vintage Chinese Shrimp Bowl Carved Soapstone Brush Pot Sculpture

Vintage Asian carved Soapstone This came to me with a large collection of similar sculptures, some dated as far back as the 1910s, and others not dated. This sculpture is undated so I've conservatively put it as the 40s but it may be much older. This sculpture shows a small bowl on either side with two shrimps in between, one partly painted black. The base is ornately carved with random miscellaneous detail. Could be used as decor as-is, as a toothpick holder, candle holder (with the right size candle), etc. The detail in this sculpture is stunning. Due to the nature of Soapstone there will be discrepancies in the texture, color, etc. with small fissures, scratches, and the like, but there is no damage to disclose. In excellent vintage condition all around. A solid piece weighing in at about 370g Measures approx 6" wide, 2.25" high, 2.5" deep A unique piece for the collector!
