The height of the figurine is approximately 8 in (20.5 cm). Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. At the bottom of the figurine you can see the brand of the factory and the preserved sticker. One of the famous "The Blue Boys" from Gainsborough's painting. The vintage hand-painted figurine was made in Toronto, believed to be around 1950-1960. The figurine is perfectly painted, the eyes and lips are neatly drawn, a blush is applied. Buttons, a lace collar are highlighted on the blue camisole, a white shirt is visible. The figurine is made using the biscuit technique, not covered with glaze. A bit of information. Thomas Gainsborough's iconic painting was originally called "Portrait of a Young Gentleman". X-rays showed that "Boy in Blue" was painted over an unfinished painting of an elderly man. In addition, Gainsborough initially drew a dog, which he then covered with a pile of stones.
